Meet The Chef

Alex has been raised in Boulder Colorado his whole life and has had the influence of nutritious, local farmed raised food since a youngster. He grew up on a small farm in Boulder and his parents owned a Mediterranean restaurant for years. Alex’s father, Dimitris who was originally from Greece started serving fresh Greek food at local festivals when Alex was very young which is where Alex learned hard work and dedication to cooking. Alex went to cooking school in Denver at the age of 18 where he studied all cuisine but French food was his primary focus. 

After cooking school Alex started working and eventually managing at the Broker Inn where he not only fine tuned his skills in the kitchen but also developed a passion for wine and the art of pairing the two. Alex uses his extensive knowledge and skill in pairing wine, food and cocktails  for private parties and special events.

Alex also partnered with his father in creating Dionysos Greek Food for selling Greek Food at special events and wholesale for local restaurants. Both he and his father continue to serve delicious food at special events around the state. 

Whether Alex is working at a special event selling Greek Food or catering for a private party, Alex uses only fresh ingredients, cooked simply to perfection. Alex wants to share his passion of cooking with others so that they too may experience amazing ‘flavors’ in life. 

Alex offers not only the art of cooking to his patrons and clients but also flare for fun and sincere heartfelt joy, showing his exuberance for life that he passes on in his food and service.

Alex and his wife live in Boulder and enjoy outdoor activities, camping, mountain biking, wine tasting, hosting gatherings and dinner parties.
